Filetype validation

To add more control over the types of fields that users are allowed (or not allowed) to upload to Dokio, we have introduced the ability to validate file types allowed on an upload field.

Some examples of how this feature might be used include:

  • Allowing a header image upload field on an email template to accept only ‘jpg’ or ‘png’ formats
  • Allow an image field on a print template to only accept ‘jpg’ format.
  • Allowing an attachment field on an email to only allow accept ‘zip’ files.

What filetypes can I restrict to?

Currently we can allow restriction to the following formats.

  • jpg
  • png
  • gif
  • svg
  • pdf
  • zip

What if I try to upload an incorrect filetype?

If an upload field has validation added to it, and you try to upload a file format that isn’t accepted, you will receive a warning on the field.

How do I add to my templates?

The validation will need to be added by a template developer for any fields that require it.
