Templates - Creating a Static PDF

Follow the steps below to create a static PDF template.

Only Admin users with the ability to edit and modify templates can perform the following steps. Otherwise, please reach out to your Account manager regarding this setup.

Instructions

  1. Select Admin from the main menu
  2. Select  Templates from its dropdown menu
  3. From the right side of the page, click Create New and then Static PDF template
  4. In the setting of the template you can add details in the following sections:

Basic

  • Name - use a suitable name for your template
  • Description - add information about or relating to the template

Visibility

  • Status - a selection where you can activate or delete the template
  • Template and Presets Options - You can select if the template can be viewed in the create page and as a preset or only used in a preset
  • Categories - Add the template to the necessary categories - it will make finding a template a little easier

User groups

  • Select the correct user groups to ensure the template is made available to the right users
  • Use Campaign scheduling - select if the template needs to be controlled by a campaign scheduling. Leave unchecked if not part of a schedule
  1. Once the necessary setting to the template has been applied, click on Create static PDF template

The following steps are to upload the PDF asset

  1. From the Overview page select the Upload New Version button
  2. Select the upload field to start the process of finding and selecting the PDF file from your computer
  3. Click Continue once the file has finished upload
  4. Click Confirm upload to finalise the upload process

The following steps are to confirm export options

Orderable settings

If the template is orderable and a price list and supplier has been applied during the template setup, continue with the following steps, or else skip to the next section Downloadable settings

  1. Allow orders to be placed with supplier - select 'Yes' to allow orders to be placed
  2. Display title - set the name you would like the template to be called during the order process, often the name will appear after the word 'Order'
  3. Instructions - add instructions that's relevant to ordering of the artwork
  4. Allow choice of suppliers - select to allow users to choose suppliers. This field should be left unchecked unless it is specifically required, and users are aware of how to use this feature
  5. Pricelist - select the correct pricelist for the artwork

Downloadable settings

  1. Allow this PDF to be downloaded - selecting will allow the PDF to be downloaded
  2. Display title - set the name you would like the template to be called during the download process, often the name will appear after the word 'Create'
  3. When all necessary selections are made click Continue.

The static PDF is now ready for use. In the 'Overview' page you will see all the template's settings and specifications. Here, you can also select buttons that will enable you to edit the template and its export options or replace its existing asset.
