Create a campaign schedule

Allow a template to be part of a campaign schedule

In template settings, you will notice a checkbox that asks ‘Use Campaign Scheduling’. Ensure this is checked for any templates that you want to be part of a campaign schedule. This important step tells Dokio that you wish to use different settings to govern the campaign’s live times and user group settings.

Once checked, you can assign any existing campaigns to the template by selecting from the list of active and upcoming campaigns below. The template will then automatically be added to those campaigns.

If for any reason, you wish to reactivate a template after a campaign ends, you can simply add the template to the required user groups within 'Template Settings'.

Create a campaign schedule

Provided you’ve been granted the relevant permission to modify campaigns in your access level, you can create a campaign by following the steps below:

1

On the Admin section dropdown list, under 'Templates' you’ll see in the submenu called 'Campaign'. In there select 'Create a new campaign +'

2

Campaign name: give the campaign a meaningful name that will help to distinguish it from the campaigns.

3

Start time: choose a date and time from within the date picker to start the campaign. Leave blank if you wish to select 'Infinity'

4

End time: choose a date and time from within the date picker to end the campaign. Leave blank if you wish to select 'Infinity'

5

Select template/s: from each of the template types, search and select the relevant templates to add to the campaign by checking the box next to its name - set as many templates as you need to. Templates can also be added to a campaign from their respective 'Template Settings' page.

6

Set user groups: select the relevant user group/s you wish this campaign to go live to

7

Click 'Create campaign'.

The campaign should now be set up and ready to go live during your nominated times.

Accessing campaign templates

Templates will automatically appear to users as normal in their Create screen during the campaign period. Clicking on them will open a new draft.

Editing a campaign schedule

At any stage, you may need to go back to the Campaign scheduler section in Admin to modify a campaign. You can change all details like start and end times, as well as the nominated templates and assigned user groups. Changes will be reflected immediately.

Active / Upcoming / Completed schedules

Within the Campaign Scheduler window, there is a filter with 4 states - All, Active, Upcoming and Completed. By default, 'all' campaigns will be displayed as soon as you open this section. To help show only relevant campaigns, the list can be filtered to only show campaigns that are either 'active' (currently active), 'upcoming' (scheduled but not yet active), or 'completed' (campaign ended).

You can edit any Completed Campaign to easily reactivate it. In this case, it will automatically re-appear in Active or Upcoming campaigns once it has been edited.

How do I remove a schedule from a template?

There are two things you need to do to make sure a campaign schedule has been removed from a template.

1

Uncheck the 'Use Campaign Scheduler' checkbox in template settings

2

Check for any associated campaign schedules on the template settings overview screen. Click on the relevant campaigns to deselect that template from those campaigns.
