Release Notes: 14th April 2020

Improvement:

Improved image partialisation functionality

  • This change relates to how we “flatten” or “partialise” images within Dokio. Partialisation is process that allows us to perform complex layering of objects within emails that otherwise would not be possible due to limitations in how emails are built, processed and read by email clients. Up until now, we’ve had to partialise entire modules if using this process. This had limitations where text would be “flattened” to be part of the image, so maintaining live text, for example wasn’t possible. With this update, we have made improvements to allow only certain elements within a module to be partialised. So the ability to retain live text over a partialised image is now possible (for email clients that support background images).

Timezones

  • Dokio has been given the gift of time. You’ll now be able to set a centralise Hub timezone and set User profiles with their own individual timezone. Dokio has always worked on a centralised idea of time in that all Dokio hubs worked on the same time base. This will apply to all draft/artwork creation dates as well as orders and reports from Dokio.

Expired drafts can still be opened, but no longer exported giving greater confidence and peace of mind to admin users to ensure that their users are using the most current templates.
