Copydeck - Managing copydecks

Copydecks can only be managed by Admin users with the correct permissions to do so.

Generally, brand new copydeck stencils (the framework of the copydeck) are created by Dokio to support the structure of a particular template that it needs to work with. Each copydeck though, can have multiple entries added to it that become selectable by a user within an artwork draft. These are the manageable components.

This article covers the following management functions:

To manage copydecks, you will need to enter into the Admin / Copydecks section. To get there, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Admin menu and select Content
  2. Select Copydecks in the submenu (if not already selected)

Adding copydeck entries

  1. Follow the Manage copydecks steps above
  2. Locate the copydeck you wish to add a new entry to and click the name to open it up
  3. Click the Create new button
  4. Fill out the content into each field. Ensure you enter a meaningful name for the copydeck entry as this will be what users will see in a dropdown of choices
  5. Click Create copydeck button to save the entry.

Updating copydeck entries

  1. Follow the Manage copydecks steps above
  2. Locate the copydeck you wish to add a new entry to and click the name to open it up
  3. Locate the specific copydeck entry you wish to update and click the name to open it up
  4. Update the content in the relevant field/s.
  5. Click Update copydeck button to save the entry.

Deleting copydeck entries

As some copydecks are integral to the proper functioning of a template, we do recommend proceeding with caution with this step. You may wish to repurpose a copydeck entry rather than completely deleting it. If unsure, please check with your Dokio account manager or Dokio Support before proceeding.

  1. Follow the Manage copydecks steps above
  2. Locate the copydeck you wish to remove and click the action menu (3 dots) next to it and select Delete

Hiding copydeck entries

This feature allows administrators keep some entries hidden from inside drafts (either whilst building, or prior to launch). Once a copydeck is ready, it can be activated and accessible inside drafts.

  1. Follow the Manage copydecks steps above
  2. Locate the copydeck you wish to hide and click the action menu (3 dots) next to it and select Hide entry
  3. If the copydeck entry is already, hidden you can select Activate from the action menu to reactivate it.
