Smoke tests

As Dokio continues to grow, we are challenged with ensuring new features added to Dokio do not adversely impact anything that already exists. We do this using what we call “Smoke tests”.

This is how it works:

A program with browser-access uses the system and performs predefined tasks in the same way that a regular user does. It verifies that the things that should happen, do happen. If they don’t, the program reports a list of errors for our tech team, so they can resolve the issues before the feature is deployed.

Smoke tests are our way of ensuring that Dokio gets a full check-up every time a change is made.
