Webkit rendering of email partials

Once in a while, we get to create new features that truly make a difference for all of our users. And this latest one does just that! Because, well... everyone uses images in Dokio, and we've changed the way that we handle it. Let' us tell you about it.

In order to realise this new feature, we needed to work on updating our image rendering engine. The process that was in place passed the image through two sets of rendering processes. The first was used to a preview image which would go through one set of filtering and rendering, and then, a second - thus degrading the image to the point where the loss of quality was significant.

With our recently changes the PDF's now render with Webkit. The same rendering engine that runs the Chrome browser. As well as increasing the speed and quality of rendering partials. This work will be ported to a new Image template type, allowing for more complex templates for image outputs.

The upside is the rendering is now faster, the quality is better and we can now handle more complex images such as 3D images. Which is super cool!
