Role types

Role types define specific approval roles within user groups that can then be referenced within approval workflows. This means that you can specify a different approver for each user group, instead of nominating an aver-arching approver for all groups.

For example, you might create a role type called 'Approver'. Each user group will then have an 'Approver' role inside it, which can have a user assigned to it within each user group.

Inside an approval workflow, you can then reference the 'Approver' role you just made and it will become part of the approval stage and approval notifications will be sent to the person/s assigned to that role within your user group/s.
