Sign in - security options

Dokio has several sign in security features. These features are designed to better manage users and avoid the sharing of login details.

Please speak to your Dokio Account Manager or Dokio Support if you wish to enable any of these security features on your hub.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

Dokio can integrate with a number of different SSO platforms. As well as giving our customers a centralised way of controlling access, SSO has a clear, positive impact on productivity. All of a user's applications are in one convenient portal, which expedites access to required systems and resources. Users only need to log in once to gain access to all the resources they need.

When using SSO, it will be set to SSO-only authentication by default. For security reasons, this will prevent any manual log in and remove options to send welcome emails or reset passwords.

Dokio can enable the ability to use both SSO and manual logins if required, however this is not our recommended approach.

Timeout on user login

By default, Dokio will timeout a user login session after 60 days of inactivity. When a session times out, users are prompted with a dialogue that allows them to log out or continue working. This time can be adjusted per hub by Dokio.

Turning off concurrent logins

Dokio can also disable concurrent logins from a single user. This prevents logins being shared across team members for increased security and that access is attributed to an individual user.

Password parameter requirements

To force users to set stronger passwords, Dokio has various password requirement options that can be set per hub:

  • At least one lower case character
  • At least one upper case character
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character
    • accepted characters #~`!@$%^&*()-=[]{}',<>?

By default, now all passwords are required to be a minimum of 8 characters.

Lock accounts after incorrect attempts

To help prevent unauthorised access, we can also have Dokio lock user accounts after a number of incorrect attempts. This is an optional feature, and the number of incorrect attempts can also be specified per hub.

For users who have had their accounts locked due to incorrect password attempts, please contact your hub’s administrator to be verified and have your access unlocked.

Force password reset after a period of time

Dokio can also optionally force users to reset their password after a specified number of days. If your password has been in use for a period longer than the set number of days, you will be asked to change your password.
