Integrations - Exporting to Salesforce Marketing Cloud
This article assumes that the Salesforce Marketing Cloud integration has already been set up on your hub and your template/s have the relevant export options applied. If these have not been set up previously, you will need to do this first.
If your template has had Salesforce Marketing Cloud export options added to it, you're pretty much ready to go. Simply edit your draft and click the Export button when you're done.
Select the relevant export option
As per usual, you will be presented with all the available export options. Depending on the setup of your template, the Salesforce Marketing Cloud options may be named something slightly different. They will likely be named with a mention of Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Look for that option.
Note: if any Salesforce Marketing Cloud export options are greyed out and unavailable, there may be issues with the integration setup or the template setting is incorrect. It may simply be that the option is not applicable to your artwork. Please contact your hub's Admin person or contact Dokio Support if you seek assistance.
Once selected, click the Next button.
Export processing
Provided you don't have any Export checklists to navigate through, you should be on the Review and confirm screen to ensure all details are correct. Once confirmed, click the Prepare export button to begin the process.
Whilst processing, you will see that the main button has greyed out and says Preparing…. This is normal. Whilst preparing, you will also see on the left panel a section that will show the progress of file transfer to Salesforce. Whilst transferring, the status indicator is yellow. Once complete, the indicator will turn green. The main button will now say Open in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Note your artwork ID as this will be used in Salesforce to identify your exported files.
Click the button to open Salesforce Marketing Cloud in a new browser window (you may be asked to log into Salesforce at this stage). You should be able to locate your files in the Content Builder window inside the Local folder on the left.
The export process is complete.
