I'm not getting approval requests / being received by the wrong person

When using approval workflows, it is possible to assign different approvers to different user groups. If you belong to multiple user groups with access to the same template/preset, and an approval is triggered, it is likely that multiple approvers will receive the same approval request. Although this is following the correct process, it can be a bit confusing, particularly if one or more of those people are outside your team.

We recommend users belong to one user group if possible, to avoid this scenario and ensure only the relevant approvers receive the approval request.
Please check with your administrator to ensure that user groups have been set as correctly according to the appropriate approval process for your team.
