Release Notes: March 2023

30 March 2023

New Feature

Variations Modal

We've added a new modal to help our customers create, edit and duplicate variations within an artwork. This new modal should help work with more variations at once and reduce the steps and time it took to create them previously.

New Feature

Preset update approvals

Great news, for customers who allow different groups of users to create and update Presets, we now have the option to require preset updates to go through an approval process before updating the preset version. For more information on how to set up preset update approvals, read this article.

Update

  • We've updated some of the permission checking code behind the scenes. In most cases, these changes shouldn't have any visible change, however the main visible change here will affect any deleted templates that have presets made from them. Now, whilst a template is in deleted state, any presets created from it will now no longer be visible on the Create screen. They remain accessible in the Admin section for management purposes.

Bug Fix

  • Fixed an issue with the autogeneration of approval workflow summaries, which meant that some approval notification alerts may have been missing approver names. Note that this bug did not affect actual approvals however.

16 March 2023

Bug Fix

  • Fixed a colour issue that was causing the action kebab menu on Resource tiles to be difficult to see.

15 March 2023

Update

  • Upload fields in the editor now use a preview modal to preview the file (if available) before applying.

14 March 2023

Bug Fix

  • Fixed an issue that was causing any dropdown fields with the autocomplete function to limit content to 100 items within the list.

9 March 2023

Update

  • Made a minor update to the styling of the formatting buttons on rich text fields

8 March 2023

New Feature

Better handling of pasted text in Rich Text fields

In the past, copy and pasting text from different places into rich text fields could sometimes give unexpected results due to the way hidden formatting was carried across when pasting. We're pleased to announce that Dokio now has better handling of pasted content inside rich text fields that will remove unwanted formatting and leave only the formatting allowed by the field. So no more surprises!

Update

  • The Update History section on Presets have had a small facelift and some minor tweaks to how they are ordered to make them a bit clearer to work with.
    • Preset versions and drafts are now ordered by date created rather than date modified. This should prevent the order from jumping around as it did previously.
    • We have updated styling to make naming clearer of when a draft was created
    • We have added creator and modification details (if applicable) below the name to track who last updated and when.

Bug Fix

  • Fixed an issue with completed video artworks where the preview video on the artwork screen was missing the overlaid artwork. Importantly though, as this was just the preview, the final exported video was not affected by this bug.
